John from New Orleans, Louisiana wrote us to tell about a blind date he went on 3 years ago with what seemed to be the girl of his dreams. This guy got hooked up with his buddy’s co-worker for a blind date. A simple, comfortable meeting for drinks with friends at a bar close to where they worked. This was nothing formal, just wear what you want and come hang out and meet eachother.

John put on some jeans and a shirt and headed over to the bar at the meeting time and hoped for the best. This girl was supposed to be very attractive, smart, funny, and most importantly, single. John had been single now for about 6 months after a bad breakup with a long time girlfriend. He was really looking forward to meeting this girl, showing his best face, and hopefully hitting things off with his friend’s coworker.

John arrived at the bar on time. Before exiting his car, John made sure he had plenty of chewing gum and mints on hand and in pocket. Why does John place so much importance on having gum and mints constantly available? Because John suffers from contant bad breath, chronic halitosis if you will.

Bad breath is a constant worry and problem for this poor guy. He can taste his bad breath in his mouth. He coughs up little smelly white balls of goop ( tonsil stones ). Gum and mints only mask the foul odor that releases from his throat and mouth. He needs real help.

John entered the bar and spotted his friend sitting aside the lady and prospective girlfriend he was to meet. The drank, chatted, laughed and everything seemed to be fine. It’s sad. The whole time John talked, he kept his mouth nealry closed and did not look directly at his blind date. This is what happens when you have bad breath. When you have halitosis and you know it, you lose your confidence. Every time you open your mouth, just like John, you fear someone getting a whiff of your bad breath.

The night approached it’s end as John’s blind date said she had to leave because she had work in the morning. John got a one-armed hug and a “nice to meet you”. John looked at his friend as the woman left and immediately knew there was a problem. He didn’t know what turned this woman off but it was something and he was dying to find out.

Unfortunately, John found out the next evening that his friend’s coworker told him, in confidence, that John’s breath “stunk”. This was yet another crushing blow to John’s dating life. He was to be a single man for a while longer.
